Barrington Broncos Hockey Club

WHEREAS, the Village of Barrington serves as the home of the Barrington Broncos High School Junior Varsity Hockey Team; and

          WHEREAS, the Barrington Broncos High School Junior Varsity Hockey Team is the proud recipient of First Place in the 2009 Blackhawk Cup State Championship; and

          WHEREAS, the athletic and academic achievements of the Barrington Broncos High School Junior Varsity Hockey Team have brought one of the highest honors and prestige to themselves, their families, coaches, Barrington High School and this community.

          NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Barrington, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois, as follows:

          SECTION 1:  That the Village of Barrington, on behalf of all its citizens, and acting by and through its President and Board of Trustees, does hereby congratulate and commend the Barrington Broncos High School Junior Varsity Hockey Team on a successful hockey season for the Barrington High School.

It was a great time for a great cause! The boys skated together and raised a total of $3557.60 for the American Cancer Society!

The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club (“BBHC”) strives to provide students in good standing at Barrington High School an opportunity to play hockey at the highest level available for their age group, while simultaneously representing their high school and fellow students through athletics. BBHC will provide its playerswith the highest level of training available in any program. The BBHC will focus on developing a feeder program and a varsity program that can compete with any high school or midget program.
The combination of development through teamwork, respect and commitment, in addition to the dedication it will take to compete effectively at these high levels of competition, will develop character and skills in BBHC players which can be used throughout their lives.High school hockey in Illinois is a club sport organized under the American Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI). The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club was organized in 1972 and is affiliated as a club sport with the Barrington High School. The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club is a separate organization responsible for its own revenues and expenditures and does not receive any monetary assistance from the high school. Varsity letters and junior varsity awards are provided by Barrington High School.
